NFBC Unveils New Website Design
Fresh appearance and features highlight upgrades to www.niagarafallsbridges.com
LEWISTON, NY/QUEENSTON, ON – Today the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission (NFBC) unveiled a fresh, user-friendly website design for www.niagarafallsbridges.com, as well as several new features to help visitors obtain border travel information in a quick and convenient manner.
“The Commission has some great online tools to inform and educate motorists regarding border travel,” said NFBC General Manager Lew Holloway. “By updating and optimizing our website, we hope to make it even easier for folks to access our traffic conditions module, bridge cameras, GPS coordinates, toll programs, and other such travel advisory information.”
The new NFBC website design offers a variable design that provides automatic reformatting and ease of viewing on all desktop, laptop, tablet, and handheld devices. In addition, all frequently used border travel tools now appear within the homepage area, thereby ensuring ease-of-use for first-time and returning site visitors. Such tools include updated construction advisories and travel tips, traffic conditions and estimated border crossing times, live bridge cameras, GPS coordinates and customizable directions, automatic toll payment programs information, and NEXUS links.

About the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission:
A Joint Resolution of the 1938 U.S. Congressional Third Session created the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission. The Extra Provincial Corporations Act of the Province of Ontario, Canada licenses the NFBC. Canada and the U.S. are equally represented on the NFBC by an eight-member Board of Commissioners. Initially established to finance, construct and operate the Rainbow Bridge, the Commission proved sufficiently efficient and effective to assume responsibilities for the Whirlpool Rapids (Lower) and Lewiston-Queenston Bridges. The NFBC builds and maintains all facilities for Customs and Immigration functions on both sides of the international border. The NFBC is self supportive, largely through user fees (tolls) and private-sector tenant leases. NFBC is federally chartered to conduct international commercial financial transactions and issue federal (U.S.) tax-exempt bonds.
