Electro Mechanical Technician Position

Type: Full Time, 1 Year Contract

The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission I.T. Department is currently searching for a technician who is highly motivated, capable of working in a dynamic environment and willing to broaden their skills. Applicant should have a 2 year electronic degree or equivalent experience for our in-house technical service team. Applicant must have strong electronic systems trouble shooting skills and be proficient in Microsoft Windows based applications. General knowledge of CCTV, data comm. networks and electrical construction is desirable. The primary role will be to assist in installing/deploying/troubleshooting systems.

Will gain exposure to the following systems:

  • NFBC Toll Collection System
        Components include touch screens, printers, treadles, RF readers, loops, gates
  • Fiber optic installation/termination
  • Copper cabling (Category 6 and phone)
  • Access Control and CCTV
  • Basic Generator and UPS Maintenance

    Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in Canada and the United States
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • May be required to respond after hours for emergency repairs
